Every pack has a story — and so does our name. Wilde Hearth 1345 is a blend of heart, home, and the people (and pups) who shape it. “Hearth” is for the cozy spaces where life really happens — the kitchen counter covered in projects, the couch claimed by dogs, the messy corners that make a house feel like home. “1345” comes from our family — two kids whose jersey numbers (13 & 45) became part of our legacy and a reminder that everything we build is for the ones we love.
It’s not about perfect homes or polished lives. It’s about warmth, connection, and finding joy in the chaos — whether that’s a DIY project gone sideways, a soap batch bubbling over, or three dogs who think they run the place.
This is our hearth. And here’s the pack who makes it wild.
Willie
The chill one — everyone loves him. My niece calls him “the fluffy dog with no tail,” which might be the most accurate description ever. He’s cute, calm, and so stinking lovable. Most days, Willie is the definition of laid-back: happy to nap in a sunny spot, supervise from the couch, or quietly trail behind just to be near you.
But don’t be fooled… the second food shows up, Willie transforms into an Olympic athlete. Suddenly he’s faster than you’d think possible, pulling out his best “I’m starving” act (he’s not — promise). He’s proof that even the calmest dogs have a mischievous side when treats are involved.
Lucy
Our watchdog with a heart of gold. Lucy keeps an eye on everything and always knows what’s going on — nothing gets past her. She’s quick to sound the alarm when the Amazon guy shows up, but just as quick to offer a hug once she decides you’re not a stranger.
She’s happiest stretched out in a sunny spot, soaking up the outdoors like it’s her personal kingdom. Around here, Lucy is the self-appointed boss, keeping Willie and Malone in line (or at least trying to). Every pack needs a leader, and Lucy takes the job seriously… even if it sometimes means bossing the humans around, too.
Malone
The baby and the troublemaker rolled into one. Malone has a talent for sniffing out mischief — “Oh Malone, what are you eating now?” is basically a daily mantra in our house. He’s the curious one, poking his nose into every corner and testing the limits of what’s chewable (spoiler: everything).
Outside, he’s endlessly fascinated by flying creatures — butterflies, bees, leaves caught in the wind — and does his best to catch (or eat) them. He may keep us on our toes with his antics, but his goofy charm and big heart mean we can’t stay mad for long. Malone is pure joy wrapped in chaos, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Once a farm girl, now a suburb dweller with big homestead dreams, I’ve always craved a creative outlet. Wilde Hearth 1345 became that space — a blend of dogs, DIY projects, soap making, and all the cozy chaos that makes life interesting. Blogging lets me share the messy, funny, and heartfelt parts of our days, while small-batch soaps and personalized home goods give me the joy of creating things that bring warmth and meaning to others.
I’m not chasing perfection here — I’m chasing joy in the everyday.
Justin
My husband — lovingly called the silent partner (though he chimes in more than he admits) — is the steady hand behind it all. He’s the fixer of my “oops” projects, the encourager when I start something new, and the one who helps keep this whole pack balanced between chaos and calm.
Miranda – No. 13
My bonus daughter, Miranda, is the strong, independent spirit behind the number 13. While most people call it unlucky, she claimed it as her own — because she’s determined to make her own luck. A newlywed enjoying life in Conshohocken, she’s blazing her own trail with grit and grace.
JC – No. 45
My bonus son, JC, is the thoughtful, steady one behind the number 45. A former college lacrosse player, he carried that number with pride — and now he’s carrying that same heart and discipline into life after school. Whether he’s coaching lacrosse or exploring new opportunities, it’s been a joy to watch him grow into the man he’s becoming.
